The skeptical Ryouta Murakami, along with the ambitious Kuroneko, ventured into the wilderness to prove that extraterrestrial life existed. Unfortunately, Kuroneko was killed in an accident and Ryouta was left severely injured.Ryouta now lives a normal high school life ten years after the disaster. In memory of his friend, he vows to prove aliens are real. Neko Kuroha, a transfer student, unexpectedly appears one day. She bears a striking resemblance with the late Kuroneko and even shares a similar name. She also seems to have supernatural powers, which is most surprising.Ryouta becomes more interested in Neko and is drawn into a dangerous world where scientists hunt magical-wielding witches who have escaped from their secret research lab. Neko is one such escapee, but there are many others in similar circumstances, so Ryouta must protect them from their captors.
