Without the fantasies of her own, she’s pleased with her discuss in life until she matches Arata Wataya. The silent transfer pupil in her basic class introduces her to aggressive karuta, a physically and emotionally demanding card game inspired by the traditional Japanese anthology of Hundred Poets. Captivated by Arata’s enthusiasm for the sport and motivated by the potential for getting the finest in Japan, Chihaya rapidly falls in love with the entire world of karuta. Together with the prodigy Arata along with her mum but hard-working buddy Taichi Mashima, she unites the regional Shiranami Society. Even the trio spends their idyllic childhood days playing until circumstances split up them. In high school, Chihaya has become a karuta enthusiast. She aims to set the Municipal Mizusawa High Competitive Karuta Club, setting her sights on the national championship in Omi Jingu. Reunited with the today indifferent Taichi, Chihaya’s dream of establishing a karuta group is just 1 step away from getting true: she has to bring together members with a passion for the sport which matches her own.
