Ecchan Japanese drama
It is Tokyo in 1935. 10 year old Yanagi Etsuko is a girl of the moment who is in love with songs. Her father Kantaro who is an aspiring lyricist, can’t forget his mother’s death and squanders his time. After seeing her father in this manner, Etsuko begins a search for Kantaro’s second wedding and the man she will marry her mother. Her first goal would be teacher Muraoka Masako who she bets on to secure an engagement to meet her dad. However, the date does not happen very well. The next person to catch her eye is salesperson Ikebe Kyoko, whom she encountered in a department shop. Etsuko is attracted by Kyoko’s beauty and slowly becomes a fan of Kyoko like her mother. At that point Kantaro’s older sister Tsuruyo explores the possibility of an organized introduction to Kusakabe Kaoru Kusakabe Kaoru, the stunningly gorgeous daughter of a bank’s owner who shares in the company of her husband’s.
