Tooru Honda has ever been fascinated with the story of this Chinese Zodiac that her dear mother advised her as a kid. But a surprising family catastrophe affects her lifetime, and following circumstances leave her alone. Tooru is now forced to dwell in a tent, but little does she know her temporary residence resides on the personal land of the prestigious Souma family. Tooru clarifies that she lives nearby, however, the Soumas eventually find her well-kept secret of becoming displaced when they watch her walking back into her doorstep one night. Things begin to look up for Tooru since they offer to take her after hearing about her circumstance. But shortly after, she’s caught up in a struggle between Yuki and his hot-tempered cousin, Kyou. While attempting to prevent themshe learns the Souma family has a well-kept secret of their own: when they’re hugged by a member of the opposite gender, they change to the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. With this new revelation, Tooru will discover that living together with all the Soumas is an unanticipated experience full of love and laughter.
