Nichijou mostly focuses on the everyday antics of a trio of childhood friends–high school women Mio Naganohara, Yuuko Aioi and Mai Minakami–whose tales shortly intertwine with the youthful genius Hakase Shinonome, her robot caretaker Nano, and their speaking kitty Sakamoto. With each passing day, the lives of those six, in addition to of many individuals around them, encounter the calms of ordinary life and the insanity of this absurd.
