Shinichi Kanou, a shut-in anime and manga fan, is an expert on video games, anime, manga, etc. After applying for a job to escape his isolated lifestyle, Shinichi is kidnapped by the Eldant Empire, a fantasy world full of elves and dragons. Shinichi is captured in this strange land and given an unusual task by the Japanese government: To spread otaku culture throughout the realm by becoming an “Otaku Minister”.
Shinichi, a half-elf maid Myucel, and Princess Petralka from the Eldant Empire, have all the support he needs to accomplish his mission. He will work with this motley crew to overcome obstacles such as politics, social class, and discrimination in order to promote the ways for the otaku living in this holy land.
