In September 1998, a series of apparently arbitrary suicides leaves Japan baffled and ruined. However, a detective agency specializing in paranormal incidents finds there are a couple of glaring, disturbing similarities linking the ridiculously unrelated instances collectively: All the sufferers are schoolgirls, and all them have jumped to their deaths from beneath the early Fujou Building, a skyscraper that’s scheduled to be bulldozed shortly.To inquire into the origin of the disturbing events, the head of this bureau, magus Touko Aozaki, dispatches Mikiya Kokutou and Shiki Ryougi.
