One Week Friends anime
Yuuki Hase, sixteen years old, finally has the courage to ask his crush if she would like to be friends. Kaori Fujimiya is the object of his affection. She is a reserved and quiet girl who doesn’t want to be seen as much as everyone else.
Yuuki discovers her eating lunch on the roof, where she is alone during breaks. In the hope of understanding her better, he decides to meet with Kaori each day. She opens up more to him the more they spend time together. She pushes him away again as the week ends. He discovers the real reason behind Kaori’s cold front. At the end of each week, Kaori’s memories of her closest friends, except her family, are lost. They are reset every Monday. A middle school accident left Kaori, once kind and popular, unable to make new friends because she is afraid of hurting those closest to her.
Yuuki is determined to make friends for more than one week. Each Monday, Yuuki asks Kaori the same question: “Would it be nice to be friends?” Kaori is a deep-seated believer in this, and he wants it more than anything.
