“Mr. Sunshine centers on a young boy who is born in the family of a house servant and then travels across America. United States during the 1871 Shinmiyangyo (U.S. expedition to Korea). He returns home and later becomes an U.S. marine officer. He is able to meet and fall in the love of an aristocrat’s daughter. While he is there he learns of an attempt by foreign forces to invade Korea.
