Onda Kokoro is an Oncologist who is known as Dr Onkoro to short by people who surround her. They claimed that she was born to pursue this career. She was married to Takumi who she knew from the time she was an undergraduate student. They had one son. Things were going well for her. However, three years ago her husband was involved in a crash and was left unconscious despite undergoing an emergency operation. While Kokoro is able to put on a brave appearance at work, she has not accepted the reality. On one day, Kokoro gets to meet Kajiyama Kaoru who is a skilled gastroenterologist who is relocated to the hospital. Kaoru recognizes the necessity of cancer surgery as a surgeon, and offers emotional support through her cheerful personality as a coworker. She is a beloved friend who Kokoro believes is a sudden bright light in both her professional and personal lives…
