Vampires–supernatural beings who feed in the life character of this unsuspecting at nighttime –have been in existence for centuries. But, higher schooler Karin Maaka is odd, even among her own kind. Unlike her familysince she had been a young child, Karin has endured from polycythemia: a rare illness which causes her to occasionally create excessive quantities of blood. Along with the blood she generates, the more anemic and lightheaded she receives, finally resulting in frequent nosebleeds. Her single solution? Together with her sisters –Anju, her booked yet adoring younger sister, and Ren, her womanizing elder brotherhelping her skills stay a secret by changing the affected people’ memories, nobody is the wiser. In other words, before Karin’s recently transferred classmate, Kenta Usui, finds her behaviour suspicious. And to make things more complex, Karin believes her bloodstream responding unexpectedly to Kenta’s existence.
