Kirino Kousaka, a diehard otaku, has now returned to Japan and settled back with her friends. Kirino continues, much to her frustration, to give Kyousuke, her older brother, the cold shoulder. He worries that Kirino’s persuasion to quit track and field in America may have caused a severe strain in his relationship with Kirino. Kyousuke must now decode Ruri “Kuroneko” Gokou’s bold and mysterious message. He is also his friend from school.
As the ties between their siblings and their friends grow, Kirino will have to work with Kyousuke to determine how they want to handle these relationships. They will also need to help each other feel their feelings. Despite all this, Kirino still finds time to enjoy her brother’s company and her otaku pleasures.
