Although Miou Aida might seem to be opposites, Haruki Serizawa, a third-year, is closer than they could have ever been as they prepare to finish their high school years. Miou is shy and reserved in the school’s art club and prefers to be out of the spotlight. Haruki, however, is the confident and boisterous leader of the movie club and has won numerous awards for his film-directing skills. They quickly became friends after meeting at their school’s entrance ceremony. Despite their growing closeness, their friendship has not grown beyond that, much to their dismay.
Their time at high school is coming to an end. Haruki and Miou, along with their friends from the movie and art clubs, only have one year to confront their deepest feelings and face the daunting task of choosing their future careers. Although they may always be within arm’s reach, Haruki pursues his dream to become a professional movie director, while Miou struggles to choose a career path, they will discover just how difficult it can be to get past the last 10 cm.
