Jung Se Ro is a dedicated young man who is working various part-time jobs as he prepares to take the Foreign Civil Service exam. The father of his son is criminal and con artist Their family leads an erratic life due to his deals. He is currently in Thailand. While he is determined to have a honest life Se Ro’s dream is destroyed during the evening of a glittering jewel exhibit that is scheduled to open in Bangkok. The father of Se Ro dies in a robbery that involves stolen diamonds. And because Se Ro was at the scene of the incident when a man was killed, he is charged and convicted of murder. After five years in the Thai prison, following his release, he adopts an identity change and turns into an opportunist just as his father. He is a part of a ring of jewel smugglers, led by Park Kang Jae, with whom he has a relationship of brotherhood. Kang Jae was raised like a son by Se Ro’s father who taught him the techniques of trade. However, Kang Jae has harbored lifelong jealousy of Se Ro’s real son. His jealousy is intensified even more when his girlfriend and smuggling partner Seo Jae In, also has a crush on Se Ro. After that, Se Ro meets Han Young Won who is the cold-hearted heir to a jewelry company. She was attracted to her fiancé Gong Woo Jin and had shut herself in after the death of Gong Woo Jin. However, Se Ro pulls her into the world while Young-won provides him with the motivation to live even though they had almost given up. They are in love, but not realizing that the person Se Ro was accused of murder was actually Young Won’s fiancé. His affection for her turns into the reason for his death, and it is also his salvation.
