The 1920s were a decade of change and turmoil, when monstrous demons appeared across America. The Order of Magdalene, a holy order known for its devotion to fighting this threat, was founded. The New York branch of the Order of Magdalene is home to the reckless and young Sister Rosette Christopher as well as her partner Chrno. The renowned team, which is charged with exterminating demonic threats, are excellent at what they do, even though it causes a lot of collateral damage.
Rosette and Chrno, however, are both driven by their dark pasts. Rosette is determined to exterminate demons in order to find Joshua, her brother who was captured by Aion, a sinner and demon. Chrno has a similar bloody past. They must battle the demonic menace that is growing and find its source. Meanwhile, they continue to search for the truth about Joshua’s disappearance.
