Darling In The FranXX anime
From the distant future, humanity has been driven to near-extinction by giant beasts called Klaxosaurs, forcing the living people to take refuge in gigantic fortress cities known as Plantations. Kids raised below are trained to pilot giant mechas called FranXX–the sole weapons proven to work against the Klaxosaurs–in boy-girl pairs. Bred for the only purpose of piloting these machines, these kids know nothing of the external world and therefore are just able to show their presence by protecting their race.Hiro, an aspiring FranXX pilot, has dropped his motivation and self-confidence after neglecting a power test. Cutting his course’ graduation service, Hiro retreats into a forest lake, where he encounters a mysterious woman with two horns growing from her head. She introduces herself with her codename Zero Two, that will be proven to belong to a notorious FranXX pilot called the”Partner Killer.” Before Hiro can digest the experience, the Plantation is rocked with a surprising Klaxosaur attack. Zero Two engages the monster within her FranXX, however, it’s heavily damaged in the skirmish and crashes around Hiro. Locating her spouse dead, Zero Two invites Hiro to pilot the mecha with her, along with the duo easily defeats the Klaxosaur from the ensuing battle.
