Midori Asakusa sees the world somewhat differently. Constantly having her nose at a sketchbook, Asakusa brings detailed landscapes and wallpapers of the world around her and the one inside her infinite creativity. Even the easy act of doodling on a wall evolves in an emergency fix on the outer shell of her spaceship. She’s simply brought back to reality by her very best buddy Sayaka Kanamori. Following a chance encounter at which both”rescue” the youthful version Tsubame Misuzaki from her overprotective bodyguard, a relationship immediately ignites between Asakusa and Misuzaki, as both share an extreme passion for animation and art. Whereas Asakusa is considering configurations and backgrounds, Misuzaki enjoys drawing the human form. Sensing a money-making chance, Kanamori indicates they begin an animation clubwhich they disguise as a motion movie club because the college has an anime club. Thus begins the trio’s journey of creating animation which will awe the entire world. Is a love letter to cartoon, exceptionally inventive in its strategy, and a testament to the possibility of this medium.
