Haruka Nanase includes a passion for water along with a passion for swimmingpool. In elementary school, he competed in and won a relay race along with his three buddies Rin Matsuoka, Nagisa Hazuki, and Makoto Tachibana. After promising victory in the championship, the four friends went their different ways. Years laterthey return high school studentsnonetheless, Rin could not care less about returning to how things was. Does he attend another college, however, the sole matter important to him is demonstrating he is a better swimmer than Haruka.Following the sour reunion, Haruka, Nagisa, and Makoto choose to make the Iwatobi High School Swim Club, however they will require a fourth member should they aspire to share in the upcoming tournament. As the opportunity to compete draws near, the four create a close relationship while coaching greatly to emerge on the top and settle matters between Haruka and Rin once and for all.
