Hiroshi Yuuki, a high school student, now enjoys full-dive RPGs, as a way to escape from the pain of an accident that occurred a few years ago. Hiroshi fails to find the most recent version of his favorite game. He then stumbles upon Reona Kisaragi, a clerk at a game shop. She convinces him to purchase Kiwame Quest to play with her.
Hiroshi is astonished at the game’s realism the first time he plays it. His amazement is fleeting as he quickly realizes that the game is worse than his stressful life. Hiroshi continues to log on despite growing disdain for the game. Hiroshi has only one goal: clearing the game.
