The Valiante Kingdom began hunting witchcraft practitioners under the leadership of the king. Their pursuit continues to grow in size and brutality, seventeen years later. The secret protectors of humanity are the targets of these witch hunting. They are known as the Makai Knights or Alchemists. They have a strong desire to protect people against Horrors, demons whose souls are plagued by sadness and/or pain.
Leon Luis, a 17-year-old Makai Knight, inherits the legendary armor known as the Golden Knight Garo. He is a powerful man, but he has to overcome the hatred that he feels after his mother’s death. His father German (Zoro the Shadow Cutting Knight), is still training Leon and preparing him to investigate the outbreak of Horrors in the capital. German is aware Leon’s will is erratic, but he agrees to take Leon along to continue his training.German and Leon travel to the capital while Alfonso San Valliante, the king’s friendly son, struggles to find a solution for the Horror threat. He is then double-crossed, and exiled from his kingdom. Alfonso returns home to seek the strength and help he needs in order to reclaim his throne. He meets Leon while on his quest. Their interactions will forever alter their fates.
