It is the summer of 1945. 3 years have elapsed since the war between Japan and USA started. Gen is a young boy living a fighting yet fulfilling lifestyle in the city of Hiroshima, which was spared from the bombing taken in virtually any Japanese City. Food is scarce, and Gen’s household is experiencing severe malnutrition, which endangers his expectant mother. There is not much spare time as Gen and his small brother Shinji assist their father and mom on the job and attempt to be certain their loved ones survives the hard times. Little do they know, what the Americans have in store for the town of Hiroshima and at the 6th of August 1945, their lives are going to change radically.
