Regardless of the kaleidoscopic magic ingrained in everyday life, Hitomi Tsukishiro’s black universe is deprived of feeling and emotion. At a night as black and white as any other, amidst the fireworks dispersing across the skies, Hitomi’s grandmother Kohaku conjures a charm, where she’s been exploiting the moon’s mild for 60 decades, to ship Hitomi back in time to the year 2018 if Kohaku was at high school. Hitomi’s mission appears uncertain, but her grandma assures her that she’ll understand when she gets there. After a trip through time aboard a train driven with a peculiar yellow monster, Hitomi finds herself in stoic artist Yuito Aoi’s area, along with his drawings flooding her world with colour. What’s Hitomi’s function there, and why do Yuito’s drawings reunite such stunning colour to her darkened world?
