When her newly-built house is razed to the ground by an earthquake, low-achieving, clumsy, and annoying third-year high school pupil Kotoko Aihara is made to share a roof with all the college’s –and maybe Japan’s–cleverest student, Naoki Irie. Kotoko isn’t really an entire stranger to Irie-kun; sadly, one love letter she strove to give him previously has sealed her fate as far as he’s concerned. Throw in a few unique friends and a meddlesome mother, and Kotoko may not also have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning that the elderly Irie boy’s center. Nevertheless Kotoko remains optimistic that, since she lives in his home, her unattainable defeat on the genius because the start of high school hasn’t been more in reach.
