Following a previous betrayal left him masterless, he’s got no more patience for warring political factions and their strategies. Regrettably, both previous and political intrigue collide when he meets and conserves a female ninja named Kagero out of a guy with the capacity to create his own body as hard as rock.The sole survivor of a ninja clan, Kagero proceeds her group’s last assignment: explore a mysterious plague which wiped out an whole village. Jubei desires nothing to do for this, but the stone-like guy’s allies, a bunch of ninja using supernatural powers called the Devils of Kimon, create this choice difficult. To make things worse, a government spy radicals Jubei, assuring him an antidote when he is able to unravel the true goals of the Devils of Kimon and their link to the jolt.
