Lu Over the Wall Movie
Kai, a middle-schooler, lives with his grandfather and father in Hinashi Town. He is a sun-umbrella manufacturer. After his parents divorced, he returned to Tokyo to be with his grandparents. Kai is unable to tell his parents about the complex feelings he feels for them. He’s also lonely and pessimistic regarding his school life. He uploads the songs he has written to the internet as one of his greatest joys.
Kunio and Yuuho, his classmates, invite him to join “SEIREN,” their band. He reluctantly follows them to Merfolk Island as their practice spot and meets Lu, the mermaid girls. Lu dances and sings happily. Kai starts to spend more time with her and he begins to understand what he is really thinking.
The people of Hinashi Town believed that mermaids were a source of disaster since ancient times. There is a big rift that occurs between Lu and the townpeople. The town is now in danger. Is Kai’s cry for help able to save the town from certain doom?
