For many girls from N-City playing the wildly famous social-role-playing games Magical Girl Raising Project is the closest they will ever get to being a magical girl. But for a few very few players, this wish can come true. One of these girls is Koyuki Himekawa. She receives an email one night letting her know that she’s been chosen to be the enchanting girl, the avatar of her game Snow White.
As Koyuki along with other selected players from the city start helping the homeless and assist those in need, they receive another message: the administrators have decided to cut down on their number of magic girls. Anyone who has the lowest amount of Magical Candy–which are awarded to players for their fantastical girl activities during their competition every week is going to lose power. If a tragic event occurs to the very first participant who is eliminated and is shown the consequences of losing their talents. As more contestants lose their place in the contest and new rules that are twisted are introduced and the girls realise that the “contest” is actually a desperate struggle to survive.
