Following the sudden death of her dad, 11-year-old Momo Miyaura leaves Tokyo together with her mom and moves into a classic distant island in Seto Inland Sea. The only memento she’s from her dad is the unfinished letter with just two words “Dear Momo”–together with her heart unrest out of it.From the new and unknown little city, Momo reluctantly attempts to conform to the outmoded wooden buildings, quiet harvest areas, and mysterious isolated shrines. 1 day, while researching the loft of her new house, she finds out a worn out picture book about youkai. After this discovery, odd things start to occur around city, and Momo is greeted with the birth of three annoying youkai.Momo e no Tegami tells the story of a young woman as she struggles to adapt to her eccentric new lifestyle and finally come to terms with her father’s mysterious correspondence.
