The series tells the tale of Kang Mi Rae, a girl who was bullied due to her appearance. In the aftermath she was anxious, unsure of herself and became withdrawn. But, Mi Rae decides she is ready to get a new beginning away from bullying , and has cosmetic surgery to improve her appearance. As she enters college, she meets Kyung Suk, a friend from their time in middle school who is a person who recognizes what they’re made of on the inside , not what they appear on the outside. He is then attracted by Kang Mi Rae. When Mi Rae begins to get repeatedly teased and is labelled “Gangnam Beauty” The cool, distant but gentle inside Kyung Suk is the only person who stands up for her. In this way, Mi Rae begins to restore her confidence, and realizes that true beauty doesn’t lie visible from the outside.
