Takashi Natsume, the shy youkai specialist and master of this Book of Friends, continues his journey involving self-understanding and approval with the assistance of friends both old and new. His main ally remains his gluttonous and sake-loving bodyguard, the haughty but fiercely protective wolf soul Madara–Nyanko-sensei, as Madara is known as in his usual disguise of an abysmal, pudgy kitty.
