Ayato Kamina was split by the girl he adored, Haruka Mishima, when an event happened that has been presumed to have murdered everyone outside Tokyo. However one day three decades after, invaders suddenly attacked town. It was then he meets a representative of TERRA, Haruka Shitow, who informs him that she’ll give him the facts on the planet. It’s the beginning of a string of strange events, that involve him activating a giant mecha, the RahXephon and finding out that lots of individuals, including his own mother, has blue blood, which he was really living in a self-encased measurement where time goes slower than that of the external world.
