Kamina is a free-spirited loose cannon bent on building a name for himself, although Simon is a shy young boy without a real dreams. 1 day whilst excavating the ground, Simon stumbles upon a mysterious thing which proves to be the ignition key into a historical artifact of war, which the duo dubs Lagann. With their weapon, Simon and Kamina fend off a surprise attack in the face with the assistance of Yoko Littner, a hot-blooded redhead having a huge gun that wanders the world over. In the wake of the struggle, the sky is in plain view, prompting Simon and Kamina to put off on a trip alongside Yoko to learn more about the wastelands of this surface. Shortly, they combine the struggle against the”Beastmen,” humanoid monsters that terrorize the remnants of humankind in strong robots known as”Gunmen.” Even though they face a few challenges and drawbacks, the trio bravely struggles these new enemies along with other predators to recover the surface, whereas gradually unraveling a galaxy-sized puzzle.
