Thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is a typical corporate employee, who’s perfectly satisfied with his dull lifestyle in Tokyo, aside from failing to nail a girlfriend down once throughout his lifetime. In the middle of a casual experience with his colleague, he also falls prey to a random man on the roads and can be stabbed. But while succumbing to his injuries, a strange voice echoes in his thoughts, and recites a lot of commands that the dying man cannot make sense of. In doing this, he hastens newfound abilities –especially, the capability to devour anything and mimic its own look and skills. Then he depended upon the sealed Catastrophe-level monster “Storm Dragon” Verudora who’d been sealed off for the previous 300 years for crushing a city to ashes. Sympathetic to his plight, Satoru befriends himpromising to help in destroying the seal. Now, free in the mundanities of the previous life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with another goal in your mind. Since he grows accustomed to his new body, his gooey antics ripple around the Earth, gradually shifting his destiny.
