Texhnolyze occurs at town of Lux, a manmade underground town which has crumbled following years of negligence and lack of repairs. Citizens of all Lux have begun to refer to their own residence as only”The City” and take action as if it’s a mind and will of its own. Ichise was an orphan that was made a place for himself Lux as a prize fighter. 1 afternoon, a battle promoter develops angry with him and also the altercation that follows leads to Ichise losing an arm and a leg. Before departure can take himIchise is found from the scientist Eriko Kamata, that uses him as a test subject for her recently designed Texhnolyze. With these strong new limbs in his disposal, Ichise starts to work for Oonishi, the chief of Organo. He meets a mysterious young woman, Ran, that has the capability to see potential futures. Collectively, they soon recognize that Lux is on the edge of collapse and war, and they might be the only ones that will save The City.
