Cestvs, a 15-year-old slave-fighter, longs for one thing in 54 AD: an escape from his violent existence. Cestvs has a wish that his owner promised him. However, he must win 100 battles to achieve it. Cestvs soon accepts that his life as a slave is not worth the risk. Cestvs’s friend died, and the only thing that keeps him going is the possibility of being free. Cestvs sets out to achieve it with a burning desire.
