Middle school pupil Mirai Onozawa is frustrated with her household situation and, at a moment of shame, wants to tear everything apart. Regrettably, these harmful thoughts appear to come true in the shape of a magnitude 8.0 earthquake only a couple of minutes afterwards.When summer holiday starts, Mirai reluctantly takes her younger brother Yuuki into Odaiba, in which a robot exhibit he wished to visit is being hauled. But while they’re in the exhibition centre, the fury of a significant earthquake shakes the Kanto area; helpless, equally children witness the catastrophic power of the natural catastrophe since it brings the city to its knees.In its wake, they encounter Mari Kusakabe, a motorcyclist and single mum who decides to help the young sisters. Aiming to come back to their homes and return with their families, the team sets off on a long and tough journey through the town.
