In the year 2199, Earth faces its biggest crisis. Because of unrelenting bombings from the alien race called”Gamilas,” the world can’t sustain its own inhabitants. In desperation, the people of Earth set the Earth Defense Force, their final defense against the power-hungry Gamilas Empire. But, humanity finds a glimmer of hope after getting a message in the mysterious planet Iscandar, which gives them a system which could restore Earth to its former glory. With salvation in sight, the Earth Defense Force calls about the prolific Space Battleship Yamato and quickly builds a team to create the 168,000 light-year trek to Iscandar and get their help.One of the team are young officers Susumu Kodai and Daisuke Shima, together with other recently promoted leaders, all under the control of their celebrated Captain Juuzou Okita. Forced to understand how to take care of the boat’s advanced technology whilst handling the onslaught of Gamilas fleets, the inexperienced throw of Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 should summon every inch of the resolve to endure the numerous hardships aboard the Yamato and finish their mission: to rescue humanity before it is too late.
