Suffering from frequent asthma attacks, youthful Anna Sasaki is silent, snobby, and isolated by her peers, inducing her parent endless stress. Upon recommendation from the physician, Anna is delivered into the countryside, in hope that the cleaner air and much more relaxing lifestyle will enhance her health and help clean her thoughts. Engaging in her enthusiasm for sketching, Anna spends summer days living with her uncle and aunt in a little town close to the sea.1 day while drifting out, Anna finds an abandoned mansion called the Marsh House. But she soon discovers that the house is not as empty as it seems to be, running right into a mysterious woman named Marnie. Marnie’s bubbly demeanor gradually starts to draw Anna from her shell as she returns night after night to meet up with her new buddy. Nonetheless, it appears there’s much more to the odd woman than meets the eyeas her period at town nears its end, Anna starts to discover the facts behind the walls of their Marsh House.
